My Story

My first yoga class happened in 2011 at Yoga to the People in San Francisco. I had no idea what I was doing. I hated every minute of it, yet I left feeling this depth of curiosity. Slowly, my distaste turned into an obsession, and from then on, I spent every free minute and extra dollar on yoga.

A few years of dedicated practice later, I worked full-time as an event manager and volunteered at a local studio, Love Story Yoga, one morning a week. I learned from some of the best teachers in the world, as they unlocked something in me. Through their teachings, authenticity, devotion to their students, and the way they honored the roots of the ancient practice, I saw myself for the first time. The way they made me feel, how yoga left me raw and cracked wide open,  I knew I had to dive deeper. So, I quit my job in the quest for yoga and self-discovery. I took my first 200hr YTTC in Koh Phangan, Thailand in 2018 at One Yoga. I left that training knowing this was it; yoga was my passion and purpose. Yoga allowed me to offer a space of genuine authenticity and acceptance for myself and students to get to know who they really are.

I spent the next few years deepening my studies and teachings across Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Zanzibar. I devoted all of my time to yogic texts, the Yoga Sutras, learning mindfulness from Tara Brach, receiving a certificate in prenatal yoga, and reading a never-ending library on spirituality. My quest and teachings soon brought me to Costa Rica in 2021, where I continued to learn and teach alongside one of my mentors, Avani Gilbert. With gratitude, I assisted her in a 250hr yoga training in Functional Anatomy, and taught for years at her studio in Puerto Viejo. I spent the next year traveling between Austin, Texas, New York, and Costa Rica to train with Katonah Yoga with various teachers and at The Studio, under my now mentor Abbie Galvin. My path of yoga.

I hosted my first yoga retreat in January 2022 on the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. Where I now offer transformational yoga retreats every year. Join us!

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for being here with me, sharing my journey, and doing the work of self-discovery. Namaste.

I am always opened to collaboration on events, workshops, private sessions, and am opened to travel. Come say hello on the contact page!
