What airport and date do I fly in and out? You’ll want to fly into and out of Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Sayulita is approximately 22 miles (36 km) north of the airport, and the journey typically takes between 40 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Transportation options from PVR to Sayulita include: Taxi: Available at the airport, with fares typically ranging from $50 to $80 USD. Uber: While Uber is generally more affordable than taxis, please note that pickups directly at the airport may not be permitted. To use Uber, you may need to cross the pedestrian bridge over the highway to meet your driver. Bus: The Compostela bus line offers service from just outside the airport. To catch the bus, exit the airport, cross the pedestrian bridge over the highway, and look for buses with "Sayulita" displayed on the windshield. Buses run every 15–20 minutes, and the fare is approximately $2–$3 USD.
